I have been the treasurer for the Chemistry Graduate Student Society at the University of Waterloo for one year (May 1998 - April 1999), and have also volunteered my services at a number of Science Faculty events, including Science Open House (thrice), Science days, and Campus day. I have also been a leader during frosh week for two consecutive years. I have also helped out at a couple of conferences that have been held at the University of Waterloo: the 15th Biennial Conference on Chemical Education and the 14th and 15th Annual Symposiums on Chemical Physics.

I have been treasurer for the "Club That Really Likes Animé" (CTRL-A) for ten terms (each term lasts four months). My duties for this elected position have included making executive decisions as well as volunteering at the various club events throughout the year.
I have also been captain for a number of intramural non-competitive teams including broomball (13 terms), volleyball (7 terms), and ultimate (1 term). I have also been captain of an intramural competitive ball hockey team for one term. These positions required organisation and leadership and have helped me learn to co-ordinate and co-operate with groups of people.
I was a member of the Toronto Ultimate Club from 2000 - 2005 and currently am a member of the Chinese Adult Hockey League (since 2001).
I am currently a member of the Joint Safety and Health Committee for Dapasoft/Mayer (since March 18, 2009).
