I just got home from patrolling and my dad came up to me and asked if there was a huge accident. I was like, "Uhh.. no.". Apparently one of the ski lift towers at Kirby went down. I'll have to look into that.
The day went by fairly quickly. I got in on time, and was basically in time for an accident. Actually, just about all the accidents I've been doing this year have been with kids. It's really strange. When you get a bunch of them together with the patient, it becomes much like some crazy party with the kids going.. crazy.
Then again, I haven't been a kid for a while, so maybe that's just normal. Man, I can't see myself handling kids if I ever get to that point in my life. Coping with them for a couple of hours is doable. Doing it for 24/7? Ha!
The weather today was pretty good, but then the wind picked up and it started to get cold. Then it wind really picked up and it started to get REALLY cold. I had icicles hanging from my nose and chin after going up the lift and that's no hyperbole. I got back into the hut and saw them when I looked in the mirror. Holy coldness Batman! (Apparently there was some sort of temperature drop warning or alert issued for the day. That would probably explain why the crowds that were there when I got there suddenly disappeared.)
