I promised myself long ago that I would never go out with any girl who smoked. Smoking was an automatic TKO. So a part of me was relieved when she told me that she smoked, and she told me why as well. I filed it in the back of my brain along with the rest of the other stuff I keep back there, lost but not completely forgotten. I would continue to use it as a reminder why I should never even consider the possibility even though I probably could live with it.
It was just another excuse not to try.
I was not really expecting to see her today. I had started getting used to not seeing her actually. But we talked again. We went hunting for a vending machine. She dared me to drop my used wrapper in someones boot. She told me that she quit.
I am running out of excuses.
Bwahahaha. We pushed SP2 into first place!

With the construction taking place near my condo, it takes me quite some time to get to the highway. The road is reduced to two or three lanes (from five) for most of the trip up, and this is usually a bad thing during rush hour.
On top of that, the elevators were really slow yesterday. I am not sure if someone was moving in or out, but the left elevator did not seem to be functioning.
Traffic was better today, but I have been experimenting with routes to work, so my arrival times will vary. I would be interested in biking (i.e. bicycling) to work at some point in time. Mind you, that would require finding myself a bicycle.

I got my new frame sliders today. I will see if I can get them installed sometime this week. I also got a post card from girl! I also got tons of other mail, although this is more of the owing money kind.
Which reminds me: I will need to pay out several hundred dollars this weekend. Do I have several hundred dollars?
<- looks in wallet.
Ah well, I also need to get the car fixed, fill up on gas, and.. will the spending ever stop?!?

Dude! What have you got against women who smoke? Have you ever kissed one? It's like kissing an olive!

1) The smell.
2) The smell gets on you and all your stuff.
3) The tension from either you putting up with it or she going outside to smoke.
4) Two words: Fire hazard.
5) And finally...one of the toughest parts of the marriage vow is "in sickness and in health". Odds are very good she'll get (quite) sick before you do.
