My parents got me a new toaster oven when I went back to pick up the car. This thing is huge! It's not all that heavy, but it's definitely larger than I had expected. (They showed me a picture and I sort of agreed to getting it without paying much attention to it.) Well, at least I've got space in the kitchen for it and a microwave. I'll just have to finish cleaning it up sooner! (It's mostly clean now, although it keeps getting filled with junk with the stuff that keeps coming in.)
I also picked up the old laptop to see if I could get Castle Wolfenstein and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein working on it. Unfortunately, even the 486/25 was much too fast for the game. Running a time slowing program didn't help much since the slowdown wasn't smooth. I think I'll just give up on the idea of playing those two classics.

I suggested it before, I'll suggest it again: Dungeon Master! Considered by many to be THE classic real-time dungeon-crawler.
If you do finally get around to trying it, I suggest that you do NOT read any of the FAQs -- they will spoil your experience; the original game only came with an interface shortcut card and a small storybook which explained the UI. Half the fun of the game is figuring which weapons are good against which creatures, etc.

Actually, I did start playing it. It was quite fun, but my save game got corrupted which pissed me off. I haven't played since.
