It's gone. *twitch* Somehow, when I used Partition Magic to change my games partition (which was holding all of my backups) from FAT32 to NTFS, it nuked the drive. *twitch* So. The backup's not there anymore. Fortunately, I had made other backups of critical files, but most of those backups were still on the original partition. The only things that I lost were my MP3s and video clips. *twitch* The clips.. aren't that much of a loss. It's annoying that they're gone, but they're easilly recoverable. The annoying part is the MP3s. I had over a GB worth, and although most of them should be easy to find again, there were a number of songs which I had which took me months (or years) to track down. *twitch*
Argh!
Screw you *points at computer* I'm going home.
BTW, KGL's got a short update on her page.
Just checking up on e-mail. I've moved out most of my stuff from the house, but I still got lots of stuff in the office. Gah. Oh well, I should be back in Toronto in a couple of hours.

The rumours are true! I have been moved out of my room (which had all of the sunlight) and into the guestroom (which has no sunlight). Ah well, at least I won't have any problems staying asleep in the morning. *blink* Doh!
Most of my stuff is strewn all over the house. It'll take me at least a week to find everything, and then just as long to figure out what to keep and what to throw out (I've got a lot of tripe), and then finally to put the stuff away (I've got considerably less space now). Oh the joys of moving.
While searching for the French version of our national anthem, I came across this page which as a very detailed history about the whole thing. Quite interesting.

I found a site with the French lyrics (and a phonetic version for you non-francophones).

Funny, remember those MP3s that I lost? Well, I still haven't recovered them (although I don't think they're recoverable), but I remember making a backup of my MP3s a year and a half ago before I got my new hard drive (When I had about 300 MB worth). I also remember copying some MP3s over onto a Zip disk (100 MB) so that I could listen to them in Toronto. Even more interesting was that some of the songs that I've been looking for (which I haven't found yet) have popped up for some reason on Scour for some reason! I still have quite a number of songs (many who's names I don't remember) to find, but now I don't feel so bad.
<- scours for more MP3s.

Poor guy.. I can sympathize. Look at it this way -- the fun is in acquiring them! Besides, anything stored magnetically is transitory at best. Also, now you have a GB of free space!

Isn't it snowing in Australia? I'm sure that's what they said on the news this morning when they were talking about the Olympics.. Even with the snow, I wish I was in Australia.. :P
