[1:22 PM CST - Database or XML?]

Since I started converting some of my data sets to XML, I have been leaning towards converting my journal data into XML format rather than populating a database. I'm pretty sure that the relational database will be a lot faster, but I would not have to install anything new for the XML, and I could link things easier than with the HTML format I'm using now..

Of course, you'd have to give your web server write access to your file system...

Ja, actually no. I can get around by going through CGI. I wouldn't need write access for either method.
