My dad kept telling me that a dish that they've been eating a lot lately is known as a "cottage roll". I would've thought that it was a cabbage roll (it's basically ham, cabbage, and some carrots). But I did a bit of digging and found out that cottage roll actually describes something:
"Cottage ham or cottage roll are names for an uncooked ham made from the shoulder. They come boneless, wrapped in netting, and are sometimes available vacuum packed."
I got that from my first Google hit.
