girl came back from a trip and got me a belt. I tried it on but realized that it was too small. That's strange, I usually have the problem that the belt is too large, but this belt was definitely too small. *looks at label* It's labeled as a 32, and all my pants are 32, but it definitely was too small. We took out one of the belts that was labeled as 30 and lo and behold, they were the same length! We were robbed! *shakes fist* It's not like I"m going to pay for the plane ticket to bring it back for a refund..

Hmmm.. aren't you supposed to buy belts that are 4-6 inches longer than your waist? Buying a 32 inch belt for a 32 inch waist is like trying to wrap a Christmas gift using paper equal in area to the surface area of the box.

most belts have a safety margin of 3-5 holes spaced half an inch apart!
And anyways, are you asking because your theory is untested? :)
