After hearing about belts for the past couple of days (VLT's brown belt and Laz's orange belt), I did a quick search to find out more on the history of belts in karate and martial arts. There's another article here.

[1:39 PM EDT - Do you hear something?]

Dang, just now I heard a loud buzzing noise from my left ear. Nobody heard it, and it eventually died away, but it's still there. I think I might have lost a nerve in my ear since I read somewhere (there's some info here). *plugs ear* Yup, the noise is still there. I guess I'm approaching old age..

[Sunday, May 29, 2005: First so cut.]

I went to the first So Cut game this year and I played very poorly. It was bad, I couldn't catch worth crap, and I wasn't running around very well at the start. When we started wearing out the other team, that's when we started playing better, but by then, the damage was already done.

I ended up laying out for one of those last passes, but I couldn't get a grip on the disk even though I had my hand on it. It's that hand-eye coordination again. I'll also need practise with catching discs as I run towards them.
