After examining the bone that I extracted from my mouth, it looks more like a fragment of a tooth rather than something from a fish. Now this begs the question: Where did it come from? What is it doing in my mouth?
With the rearrangement of my teeth, many things have moved around and this movement may have caused some objects to come to light. My wisdom teeth were taken out over ten years ago, but I never kept the pieces (they were thrown out while I was still out) and so I never knew if anything was left inside.
Could this bone have been from one of my wisdom teeth? If so, are there any other pieces left? Will they too come out?
ASH organized a farewell party for DW tonight. It was supposed to be a sort of surprise party, but it was not. Quite a number of people showed up, despite the short list of names on the e-mail list. I think a lot of people showed up without RSVPing, which was okay, since I had not seen any of these people in months.
I got caught up with a number of them and things have certainly changed since I last saw some of these people. Most of the changes were in terms of relationships. (Lots of hookups.) I guess that is to be expected when you put a bunch of single men and women together huh?
In any case, I had only planned to stay for a couple of hours as Windelynn had planned a skating party in the evening. It had started to rain this afternoon, and the forecast had predicted heavy rains at night, so I was pretty sure that skating would be canceled since the rink was outside.
When I called to confirm, I was told that there was a layer of water on the ice. I was pretty sure that I would stay inside, so I hung around with the ultimate crew until the end of the party, which was much later than I had planned to stay considering that I had to work the next morning.
It was all good though, and I was able to take a number of pictures.

How big were these bits of bone? Unless it was a very large fish or you managed to embed part of a skull or vertebrae in your gums, the bones should be very thin and round - quite different from bits of teeth.

The bit that I fished out of my mouth was actually quite small: approximately 4 by 2 by 2 mm. I had originally thought that the bone was thin and small from what I could see and feel with my tongue. Once I extracted the fragment I noticed how jagged it was, and decided that it likely came from a tooth instead.
