[9:31 AM EST - Still a little bump.]

Hmm, I still have a little bump next to that divot in my mouth. I am wondering if I missed a piece. It is under a bit of skin, so I may just leave it there since it is not as bothersome as the other piece was.

The mouth is a cesspool of bacteria, that sliver of bone may have introduced infection into your gums, and if any bone is left over it will at best continue to inflame and irritate your gums and at worse become a source of infection and abscess.

I'm no dentist (maybe call SH for an opinion?) but if this problem persists I think you should get checked.

Well, the swelling is down so I am doing okay now. I guess I can find out more the next time I go to my dentist.
